Here is some updated news about Shakespeare:


 


APT updates Shakespeare's "Macbeth"
The stage is almost completely bare. The sounds of modern warfare accompany a rather electrifying contemporary interpretation of Scottish folk music exploding from speakers high above the stage.

What could I possibly say about Macbeth that hasn’t been said eight billion times already? So instead I’ll just point out that I expected to find the witches saying, “O, what a tangled web we weave / when first we practise to deceive,” but did not find it. Turns out that’s because Shakespeare didn’t say it; it’s a line from Sir Walter Scott’s Marmion. No comments yet
